Therapeutic Equine Day Camps

Do you want to provide your children/teens with a memorable, fun and purposeful summer experience? Our equine camps will provide boys and girls with 5 days of horsemanship skills tailored to enhance personal responsibility, self-esteem, listening skills, leadership, empowerment and much more. Check out our two camps and the different dates they are offered below. Once you pick your desired camp and dates, then go ahead and fill out our application form to reserve your spot. Classes are limited to 8 children per camp week, so apply today!

 

Kids Empowerment Camp

 

Cost: $650 after May 1st, EARLY BIRD SPECIAL $600/week

           *Payment plans available

 

July 15th - 19th 2019, 9am – 2pm

 

This camp is for boys and girls 8-12-years-olds who want to feel more confident within themselves and socially with peers. Each day is very active, moving between grooming, group activities, horsemanship activities, and the occasional art project - like painting the horses! Through working with the horses daily, campers will learn how to take care of the horses and how to better take care of their bodies and emotions to develop greater independence and self-awareness.

Meet Your Leaders

 

Heather Gunther is a registered psychotherapist with 15 years experience working with children and teens in teaching, counseling, and wilderness therapy settings. She has advanced training in synergetic play therapy, wilderness therapy, transpersonal counseling and theta healing.  To learn more about Heather visit here.

 

Eve Ellis is a registered psychotherapist with 5 years experience working with children and teens in therapeutic settings and over 10 years experience working with children and teens in equine settings. She has advanced training in play therapy, wilderness therapy, equine assisted psychotherapy and transpersonal counseling. Eve finds the equine-human relationship both empowering and revealing and loves working with the horses to help individuals build self-confidence and hope.
